I used these books frequently in the classroom and considered them valuable
resources. Many parents found they were also helpful at home.
Actually, I found that Clare Jones always provides schools with both useful and
practical information, which I appreciated. --Cheryl Brown

Driven To Distraction : Recognizing and Coping with Attention Deficit
Disorder from Childhood Through Adulthood
by Edward M. Hallowell, John J. Ratey. This is another valuable book with information and practical ideas.
I've recommended Driven to Distraction to many people. --Cheryl

MOTIVATION
 | Punished By Rewards: The Trouble with Gold Stars, Incentive
Plans, A's, Praise, and Other Bribes by Alfie Kohn. Based on research,
Kohn discusses why extrinsic motivation not only doesn't work in the
long-term, but has the opposite effect that one would want even for the
short-term. I highly recommend this book. --Cheryl Brown |
